What about going for an advanced degree in IT or Computer Science? or sociology, law, anthropology,  theology, philosophy, …?

So much is a stake and so fast it is happening that most are unaware of how the technological advances are shaping our current lives. But particularly, our ability to survive.

Are we destined for global civil war? Are we destined to unrest, riots, and bloodshed?

The ignorance is ubiquitous, that is, not just those with poor education are ignoring it. Even educated people, even those with an advanced degree are “behind the tree” about the revolution that it is happening right now. Indeed, very few are trying to figure out how the power acquired by owning a supercomputer is subtly creating a new breed of emperors or even dictators with global reach but that does not need a military or even police to tell you how to behave. And in some regions, it is going to be easier for the new emperor than in others because some already treasure freedom but others have not even encountered or know what is freedom.

Is it already happening? Is the global widening of the gap between rich and poor and the disappearance of the middle class a sign of all this?

Or, am I exaggerating?

Maybe nothing is going on!

Regardless of your field of study or profession, because all disciplines are implicated, you could, if you want, think of your own project or contribute as part of the research group of a professor currently working on these topics, as part of the process for you to obtain your advanced degree.

We are living an exciting moment in the history of humankind and the implications go from theology to particle physics. Of course, if you let yourself free to think.
